LICA attended the 2022 Academic Annual Meeting of ChinaFlux and the 20th Anniversary Strategic Development Seminar
From February 16 to 17, the 2022 academic annual meeting of ChinaFLUX and the 10th anniversary strategic development seminar were successfully held in the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, CAS, Beijing. The conference was hosted by the ChinaFLUx and undertaken by the Key Laboratory of Ecosystem Network Observation and Modeling, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It was held simultaneously online and offline. The theme of this conference is 'pulse ecological carbon sink, serve green and dual carbon', with nearly 1000 scholars and graduate students participating online or offline.
The conference invited Fu Bojie, academician of the Ecological Environment Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Liu Congqiang, academician of Tianjin University, Chen Jingming, academician of the University of Toronto, Canada, Park Shilong, academician of Peking University, Professor Wang Yanfen of the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhu Jiaojun, researcher of the Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zheng Xunhua, researcher of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Trevor Keenan of the University of California, Berkeley, Professor Kazuhito lchi of Chiba University in Japan, Researcher Zhou Guangsheng of the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences, Professor Luo Yiqi of Cornell University in the United States, and Professor Chen Jiquan of Michigan State University in the United States made a specially invited academic report at the conference. Together with other experts and scholars, they deeply discussed the new opportunities and challenges faced by China's traffic observation industry in the new era, providing input for the promotion of China's dual carbon action.
At the invitation of the organizer, LICA participated in the conference with relevant products. At the conference site, LICA set up a product and technical consultation booth, which deepened everyone's understanding of the product through professional explanations and detailed questions and answers. At the same time, it also attracted more participants to gather here and conducted further exchanges on the application of the product.
The 'dual carbon' goal is a major strategic decision made by China in the new era, and an important starting point for accelerating the construction of ecological civilization and achieving high-quality development. In the process of achieving the dual carbon goal, the role of ecosystem flux observation is crucial. The academic discussions at this meeting focused on the exchange of a series of research results of China Flux Network in ecosystem carbon, nitrogen, water flux monitoring, and carbon sink function evaluation, providing professional theoretical support for the dual carbon action.
