From June 16th to 18th, the 6th National Quantitative Remote Sensing Academic Forum was hosted by the Quantitative Remote Sensing Professional Committee of the China Association of Remote Sensing Application and the State Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing Science, and hosted by the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Held successfully in Chengdu. The theme of the forum is 'Development and Application of Quantitative Remote Sensing Science and Technology'. Based on this, experts and scholars, university teachers and students, and industry and enterprise representatives who are engaged in quantitative remote sensing research gathered together to express their opinions and make exciting presentations.
The National Quantitative Remote Sensing Academic Forum was initiated by Academician Li Xiaowen. The first forum was held in 2007 and has been held every two years since 2017. It is one of the most important academic conferences in the field of remote sensing in China, with nearly a thousand participants at each session. This forum lasted for three days. The conference invited well-known experts and scholars such as Academician Gong Jianya of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician Wu Yirong, Academician Pu Shilong, and Academician Chen Jingming of the Royal Canadian Academy of Sciences to give special reports. A total of 25 sub-forums were set up, more than 500 people participated in the exhibition. More than 20 companies and units related to the field of remote sensing from across the country participated in the exhibition to exchange the latest progress, discuss development directions and promote academic cooperation on issues such as quantitative remote sensing theory, technology, and application.
At the invitation of the organizer, LICA United Technology Limited participated in this conference. By setting up a display stand on site to display product information, it attracted a large number of experts, scholars and participating students to visit and conduct in-depth exchanges on related instruments. Received unanimous praise.
