From April 17 to 20, the Editorial Board Meeting of the Chinese Journal of Applied Ecology, the Chinese Journal of Ecology, and Ecological Processes, together with the 3rd Youth Ecology Conference (YEC), was held in Changsha, Hunan Province. Led by young ecologists and jointly participated in by distinguished scientists and graduate students, the conference aimed to showcase the research achievements of China's young ecologists and to promote academic cooperation and exchange.
Co-hosted by the Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Ecological Society of China, and organized by the Central South University of Forestry and Technology, the conference featured 43 parallel sub-forums and over 600 academic presentations. It attracted more than 1,400 experts and scholars from across the country to discuss cutting-edge ecological frontiers.
During the conference, LICA actively showcased its practical application achievements in environmental monitoring instruments and solutions. The company engaged in in-depth discussions with experts and scholars from research institutes and universities on topics including multi-parameter gas flux synchronous sampling and monitoring systems, integrated ground-water-air-space ecological monitoring networks and technologies, and the integration of remote sensing technology with environmental and ecological monitoring.
On April 19, the conference entered the specialized discussion phase. Forty-three thematic sub-forums were held concurrently, covering disciplines such as forest ecology, agricultural ecology, pollution ecology, landscape ecology, and global change ecology. A total of 109 experts delivered keynote reports at the sub-forums. Young scholars engaged in enthusiastic exchanges on academic frontiers, fully demonstrating the innovative vitality and development potential of China's young ecologists.
Centered on academic exchange, talent cultivation, and disciplinary development, this conference effectively promoted academic innovation, interdisciplinary integration, and the sharing of achievements in the field of ecology. Through the in-depth sharing by experts, LICA has felt the vigorous innovative vitality in the ecological field and gained a deeper understanding of the technological pathways for modernizing ecological governance.
