From March 27 to 29, 2026, the 8th Asia-Oceania Group on Earth Observations (AOGEO) International Workshop was successfully held in Beijing. Hosted by the National Remote Sensing Center of China (NRSCC), the Secretariat of GEO in China, the event was co-organized by the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research (IGSNRR) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Guangzhou University.

Themed "AOGEO Technological Innovation and Development of Earth Intelligence for All," the workshop was conducted in a hybrid online-offline format. It aimed to focus on the development needs of the Asia-Oceania region, align with the GEO Third Decade Strategic Plan, promote the deep integration of Earth observation and artificial intelligence, and accelerate the application and promotion of Earth Intelligence in the region. The event attracted over 200 representatives from more than 30 countries, including regions across Asia-Oceania, Africa, Europe, the Americas, and the CIS.

The workshop featured four core thematic sessions: Empowering Agricultural and Food Security in the Asia-Oceania Region with Earth Intelligence; Ecosystems, Biodiversity, and Carbon Management; Sustainable Utilization of Water and Land Resources; and Regional Synergy in Advancing the GEO Earth Intelligence for All Strategy. A total of 49 presentations were delivered.

LICA United Technology Limited participated in the event with its innovative technological products and application solutions, delivering a special presentation titled "Application and Practice of Soil Greenhouse Gas Flux Monitoring and Water Isotope Extraction Technology." The presentation fully demonstrated LICA's practical achievements in ecological environment remote sensing, soil greenhouse gas flux monitoring, and water isotope extraction technologies, attracting numerous experts and scholars for in-depth communication.

This conference not only showcased China's significant progress and practical applications in the field of Earth observation but also built a bridge for the exchange and promotion of Earth Intelligence in the Asia-Oceania region. Looking ahead, Lijia United will take this workshop as an opportunity to continue deepening its R&D in environmental and ecological monitoring technologies. The company remains committed to facilitating regional synergy and sustainable development, contributing its strength to global ecological protection, sustainable resource utilization, and high-quality development.
