From March 27 to 29, 2026, the "Academic Symposium on Multidisciplinary Integration and Carbon Neutrality: Ecological Protection and Resource Recycling" was held at the Jinnan Campus of Nankai University.

Hosted by Nankai University and co-organized by multiple institutions, the symposium was themed "Multidisciplinary Integration in the New Era Empowering Carbon Neutrality, Ecological Protection, and Resource Recycling." Nearly 300 experts, scholars, and industry representatives from the fields of ecology, environment, geosciences, and resources, both domestically and internationally, gathered to explore innovative pathways for interdisciplinary integration, pooling wisdom and strength for the nation's "Dual Carbon" strategy and the building of a Beautiful China.

The opening ceremony commenced at 9:00 a.m. on March 28. To promote the deep integration of the three major disciplines, further refine the theoretical system of ecology, environment, and resource utilization, and address the challenges of ecological protection and resource scarcity, the conference established 27 sub-forums.
