From October 23 to 25, 2026, the 25th Chinese Ecological Congress, sponsored by the Ecological Society of China and hosted by Southwest Forestry University, was successfully held at Haigeng Hall in Yunnan. More than 2,500 ecological researchers from over 600 institutions across 32 provinces, municipalities directly‑administered cities and autonomous regions nationwide gathered at the venue to discuss new trends in ecology.

The congress adopted the theme New Mission of Ecological Science: Serving Systematic Governance of Regional Ecological Environment. In addition to invited expert presentations in the main venue, 47 thematic sessions were set up covering ecological theory, methodological and practical innovation, ecosystem functions, services and human well‑being, ecological responses and restoration under global change, as well as ecology and sustainable development in the artificial‑intelligence era. A total of 560 oral presentations for thematic sessions, 532 graduate‑forum reports and 136 academic posters were delivered, with 1195 electronic abstracts collected.

At the ecological‑instrument exhibition during the conference, LICA displayed its self‑developed eco‑environmental instruments and technical practical solutions. The LICA PS-9000 Portable Soil CO₂ Flux System applies non‑dispersive infrared technology, with a CO₂ flux measurement range of 0‑6000 ppm. Light‑weight and portable, the instrument can operate normally from ‑20 °C to 45 °C. Its outstanding stability and multi‑scenario adaptability attracted numerous experts and scholars to stop for consultation. Company representatives elaborated on instrument performance and well‑proven application cases across grassland, wetland, farmland and forest ecosystems, and conducted in‑depth discussions with specialists on relevant technical details.

As the flagship event of the Ecological Society of China, the Chinese Ecological Congress ranks among the largest and most influential academic conferences within China’s ecological community, with twenty‑four previous successful editions. This year’s congress assembled research strengths from all branches and interdisciplinary sub‑fields of ecology. Ecological practitioners convened in Kunming to exchange cutting‑edge disciplinary advances.

LICA felt honored to participate in this prestigious academic event and exchange frontier ecological research perspectives with experts and scholars. The conference further enriched the company’s technical insights into comprehensive ecosystem monitoring and ecological‑restoration assessment. Going forward, LICA will keep optimizing its space‑sky‑ground‑water integrated eco‑environmental monitoring solutions, and contribute its expertise to national ecological‑civilization construction.
