Guided by the China Association of Remote Sensing applications, the twenty-four sessions of the ecological and Environmental Remote Sensing Forum (hereinafter referred to as the forum) , hosted by the ecological and environmental remote sensing branch of the China Association of Remote Sensing Applications, were held at Tianjun Hotel, Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, from 15 to 17 July 2022. The theme of this year's forum was“Remote Sensing for high-quality development in a new era of ecological civilization”. The forum was held online and offline, with nearly 100 participants.
Leaders and experts attended the forum, including Zhao qifa, chairman of the Supervisory Board of the China Association of remote sensing applications; Liu Hongyan, chairman of the ecological and environmental remote sensing branch of the China Association of remote sensing applications; Liu Xueping, secretary-general of the ecological and environmental remote sensing branch of the China Association of remote sensing applications; Liu Shanjun, vice-chairman of the ecological and environmental remote sensing branch of the China Association of Remote Sensing Applications; Wang Yansong, Liu Ting, Hou Peng, Yang Jingrong; and Liu Xueping, advisor of the ecological and environmental remote sensing branch of the China Association of Remote Sensing applications.
The forum attracted the participation of many universities, scientific research institutions and enterprises in the field of remote sensing of ecological environment, they include Peking University, Nanjing Normal University, Wuhan University, Northeastern University, Center for satellite applications and environment, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Center for remote sensing applications of land satellites, Ministry of Natural Resources, 508 Academy of Astronautics, China Academy of Petroleum Exploration and Development, Innovation Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences Space Information, Guangzhou Institute of Geography, Guangdong Academy of Sciences, Nanjing Institute of Ecology and Environment, Inner Mongolia data and application center of high-resolution Earth observation system, Inner Mongolia Remote Sensing Center, Guangxi Remote Sensing Society, Liaoning Institute of Surveying, Mapping and geographic information, etc. . At the invitation of the organizers, Beijing Riga United Technology Co. , Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Riga United) participated in the meeting and set up a product and technical services desk. During the conference, the authors presented the ecological remote sensing instruments at home and abroad in the form of posters, explained the instruments, demonstrated the operation skills and shared the application cases.
The meeting provided a diverse platform for exchange and discussion among experts in the field of remote sensing of the ecological environment, and strengthened the integration of different research directions in the discipline, with a view to raising the level of scientific research in the field of remote sensing of the ecological environment.
