From September 23 to 24, 2019, the 6th National Symposium on Stable Isotope Ecology and the 2019 Academic Annual Meeting of the Stable Isotope Ecology Committee of the Chinese Society of Ecology was held in Yichang, Hubei. The conference was hosted by the China Society of Ecology's Stable Isotope Ecology Committee and hosted by the Three Gorges University School of Biological and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Hubei Three Gorges Regional Ecological Protection and Governance International Joint Center. From the University of California, Davis, New Hampshire, Florida More than 300 experts and scholars from universities, the University of Western Australia, the GNS National Isotope Center in New Zealand, Tsinghua University, Fudan University and Tianjin University attended the meeting.
On the morning of September 23, the conference kicked off at Xindao International Hotel. Chairman of the China Ecology Society Stable Isotope Ecology Committee, Professor Lin Guanghui of Tsinghua University, Professor Karyne M. Rogers, Chief Scientist of GNS National Isotope Center, New Zealand, Mark University of Florida Professor Brenner, Deputy Director of the Stable Isotope Ecology Committee of the Chinese Society of Ecology, Professor Wu Jihua, Vice President of the School of Life Sciences of Fudan University, and Professor Huang Yingping, Vice President of Three Gorges University attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was held by Yang Changying, Dean of the School of Biological and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Three Gorges University.
Hosted.
At the invitation of the organizer, LICA participated in the meeting with representatives of many experts and scholars, and set up a product and technical service desk at the venue. During the meeting, the participants presented the latest isotope analysis instruments at home and abroad in the form of posters, explained the instruments, showed operational skills, shared application cases, and won the praise of the participating scholars.
In recent years, stable isotope techniques are gradually becoming a powerful tool at the forefront of cognitive material cycle, climate change, environmental evolution, and pollutant migration. The application of this technology can solve the ecological problems that are difficult to explain by traditional research methods, greatly increasing our The perception of the unknown world. The convening of the National Symposium on Stable Isotope Ecology provides a good platform for strengthening the exchanges between stable isotope ecologists in China, tracking the frontiers of international research in real time, and promoting and promoting the application of stable isotope techniques in relevant research fields in China.
During the meeting, LICA Sun Baoyu was the general manager of the conference and introduced the ABB isotope analyzer
The conference lasted for 2 days, including 18 invited reports at the main venue, and 5 sub-meeting venues, which focused on stable isotope research on the structure, function and service of aquatic ecosystems, plant carbon metabolism and stabilization of ecosystem carbon cycle. Isotopic studies, stable isotope studies of nitrogen biogeochemical cycles, stable isotope studies of plant water relationships and regional water cycles, product traceability, and other areas of stable isotope application research for academic exchanges.
