From October 23 to 25, 2026, the 25th Chinese Ecological Congress, sponsored by the Ecological Society of China and hosted by Southwest Forestry University, was successfully held at Haigeng Hall in Yunnan. More than 2,500 ecological researchers from over 600 institutions across 32 provinces, municipalities directly‑administered cities and autonomous regions nationwide gathered at the venue to discuss new trends in ecology.The congress adopted the theme New Mission of Ecological Science: Serving Systematic Governance of Regional Ecological Environment.
